Terms and conditions
Last updated: October 17, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Quentas website and personal finance application (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who provides the Service
Quentas is provided by Alejandro Acho, a private individual based in Spain. You can contact him through the contact form.
2. The Service
Quentas is a tool to record and understand your personal finances: accounts and transfers, income and expenses, categories, fixed expenses, debts, investments, savings goals, reports and analysis, Excel import and export, and connections with AI assistants. Features may change, improve or be withdrawn over time.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 14 years old and provide accurate information when you sign up.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and any access tokens you create (for example, for AI assistants) confidential, and for the activity carried out with them. Revoke a token as soon as you no longer need it, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
4. Plans and prices
Quentas currently offers a free plan that includes all the features available in the Service. We may offer a paid "Pro" plan with additional features in the future. If we do, its price and conditions will be shown clearly before you subscribe, nothing will be charged without your explicit acceptance, and the features included in the free plan at that time will not be removed from it without notice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for illegal purposes or to process data of other people without a legal basis;
- attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or to bypass the security, rate limits or other technical restrictions of the Service;
- overload, disrupt or reverse engineer the Service, or access it through automated means other than the interfaces we provide (such as the MCP connection);
- upload files containing malware or content that infringes the rights of others.
We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these rules.
6. Your data and its accuracy
You keep all rights to the data you enter or import, and you can export it at any time. You grant us only the permissions needed to store and process it in order to provide the Service, as described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter or import: balances, charts, reports and projections are calculated from it.
7. Not financial advice
Quentas is an organization and information tool. Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it does not replace a qualified professional. Projections (such as when you will pay off a debt or reach a savings goal) are estimates based on your past data and may not come true. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
8. Market data and AI assistants
- Market prices and exchange rates come from third parties (such as Yahoo Finance), are provided "as is", may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and may be unavailable at times. Do not rely on them to make trades.
- Answers generated by AI assistants, whether inside the app or connected through MCP, may be inaccurate or incomplete. Check important figures yourself. When you connect an external assistant, you also accept its provider's terms, and you are responsible for the actions you ask it to perform in your account.
9. Availability
We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, including regular backups, but we cannot guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, which may temporarily interrupt access. We recommend exporting your data from time to time.
10. Liability
The Service is provided free of charge and "as is". To the extent permitted by Spanish law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits or losses resulting from financial decisions made on the basis of the information shown in the Service, nor for interruptions or errors caused by third parties or force majeure. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or the rights that consumer protection law grants you and that cannot be waived.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously breach these terms, and we may discontinue the Service by giving reasonable notice so that you can export your data.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the Service or the law. We will publish the new version on this page with its date and, if the changes are significant, let you know in advance by email or in the app. If you continue to use the Service after they take effect, you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts that are competent under that law; if you are a consumer, those of your place of residence. This does not deprive you of the protection granted by the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
